No screen time for babies and only an hour a day for kids under age 5, world health organization advises | Source: LA Times
For the first time ever, the World Health Organization (WHO) released recommendations for screen time in children under age 5, rocking the new norm of placing children in front of an electronic device.
These recommendations indicate that children under age 5 should only get one hour of screen time per day and for those under age one, they should not be having any screen time at all. Instead, children under one should be spending an hour per day on their stomachs, known as tummy time, to improve strength and coordination.
