The Kohl's Start Childhood Off Right (SCOR) team will be providing a review of their program, as well as tips for pediatric providers on how to identify next steps for action after attending the CHDI EPIC module, which include:
1. Learn how to counsel all families on best practices for babies to grow up at a healthy weight
2. Recommend responsive approach to feeding infants and young toddlers
3. Identify opportunities to modify obesogenic behaviors leading to abnormal weight gain in the first two years of life

Ball Bonanza Event with Hartford Public Library & JumpBunch
We will have our friends from the Kohl's Start Childhood Off Right (SCOR) Program at the Connecticut Children's Medical Center, along with JumpBunch and the Hartford Public Library, for fun ways to incorporate balls, music, and highlight the power of play.

“Healthy Kids Day” Celebration at the Wilson-Gray YMCA
The Kohl's SCOR Program will be partnering with Power Health for their annual Healthy Kids Day event that will be held at the Wilson Gray YMCA in Hartford. This family-friendly event will feature various free health screenings, kids and adults fitness activities, games, cooking demonstrations, among others.

Prenatal Yoga and Discussion with Dr. Trout at the Institute for the Hispanic Family

The Kohl’s Start Childhood Off Right (SCOR) Program will provide a variety of activities at this event to encourage children to love healthy foods, including a demonstration for parents on making homemade baby food and introducing solid foods, as well as a book reading on picky eating titled “I Will Never Not Ever Eat a Tomato” by Lauren Child. Additionally, SCOR is hosting WHY Outreach, Inc. to provide a free “Baby and Me” yoga class for mothers with children ages 12 months and younger who attend this event.
